AML & KYC Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This policy explains how Vembit (“Vembit”, “we”, “us”) works to stop money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and other abuse, and what that means for you. AML means anti-money laundering. KYC means “know your customer”. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Our approach
- We do not want Vembit to be used to hide, move or clean money from crime, to fund terrorism, to dodge sanctions or to defraud anyone.
- Every account belongs to one person, who uses it only for their own money and their own trading.
- We check accounts and transactions in proportion to the risk, and we look more closely at larger amounts and unusual activity.
2. Who can use Vembit
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).
- You may not use Vembit if it, or leveraged trading, is not legal where you live or are located, if you are on a sanctions list, or if you are in a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions.
- Do not use a VPN, proxy or someone else’s details to get around these limits.
- We may refuse to open an account, or decide to stop serving a country or region, at any time.
3. What we collect
- When you sign up: your name, email address and mobile number, or your name and email address from Google if you sign in with Google. We do not verify your mobile number by SMS today, so enter a number where we can reach you.
- When you use Vembit: your IP address and the country it points to (including at sign-up), your device and browser type, and the partner link or referral code you joined with.
- When you move money: the amount, coin, network, transaction ID and wallet addresses of every deposit and withdrawal.
- If we ask for more: the documents and information described in section 5.
- How we use and protect this information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
4. The checks we run
- Deposits. Crypto deposits are received by our crypto payment processor, which may run its own compliance checks. If you buy crypto with a card or another method in the app, the third-party provider runs its own identity checks.
- Withdrawals. Every withdrawal is checked before it is paid. Among other things, we look at whether the account has made a real deposit, how new the account is, the size of the withdrawal, recent manual balance changes, partner commission moved to cash, and whether the wallet address is also used by another Vembit account. Withdrawals that do not pass the automatic checks are reviewed by a member of our team.
- Your own wallet only. You may only withdraw to a wallet that you own and control. Do not use Vembit to send money to anyone else.
- Records and monitoring. Every movement of cash in every account is recorded. We review activity for signs of abuse, such as linked or duplicate accounts, deposits and withdrawals with little or no trading, trading that exploits price errors, or abuse of the partner program.
5. When we may ask for more
- We may ask you to verify your identity, your address or where your money comes from — for example with a photo ID, a proof of address, or details of the wallet or exchange a deposit came from. This is most likely before a large withdrawal, when something looks unusual, or when the law requires it.
- We will tell you what we need and why. We will never ask for your password or a sign-in code. If you are not sure a request really comes from Vembit, check with us at support@vembit.com before you reply.
- Until the checks are complete, we may hold withdrawals or limit what the account can do. If you do not give us what we ask for, we may not be able to pay a withdrawal or keep the account open.
6. What we may do
- Delay or refuse a withdrawal while we complete checks, or if we suspect fraud, abuse or a breach of these rules.
- Cancel trades and the profit from them where we find abusive trading (see section 8 of the Terms of Service).
- Limit, suspend or close an account.
- Report activity to the authorities where the law requires it. In some cases the law does not allow us to tell you that we have done so.
- When an account is closed, any balance we are allowed to pay is sent to a crypto wallet you own, after the checks are complete.
7. Record keeping
We keep records of your account, any identity checks, and your deposits, trades and withdrawals for as long as the law requires, including after your account is closed. They are used for nothing else. See section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
8. What we ask of you
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Use only your own money, your own wallets and your own payment methods.
- Do not let anyone else use your account, and do not trade for anyone else.
- Tell us at support@vembit.com straight away if you think someone else has used your account or your details.
